Genii is feeling lonely

"Ngao" is the second single of the very cute trio group, Genii, of Indee Records and it has finally made its way online. The song has already been released on radio stations in Laos. Their first single, "Yorm Jai Orn", spent many weeks on radio charts in Laos. Will their new single be able to do the same?


In this new song Genii sings about feeling lonely every day and that they are wanting to have someone to love and be by their side. It is a slow jam but with a cute lively feel to it. 


Will they find the special person that will give them love? We will just have to wait for their music video to release this month to find out! 


They have also released a set of photo shoots and judging from the looks of it they don't look very lonely! They look very cute and happy!

Khuan Jai's Latest Issue

The latest issue of Khuan Jai features two Lao artists from two different entertainment companies.


The first artist to appear is "Mew" from the girl group Caramel under the company Valentine Music. For those who are unfamiliar with Caramel, they are a girl group that consists of three members. They have released two singles which includes, "Ooh" and "Yark Hai Jao Hoo Jai" (ຢາກໃຫ້ເຈົ້າຮູ້ໃຈ). Mew shows off her mature side in the photo shoots she did for Khuan Jai.


Another artist that was seen was Sydz from Pull-T Club. Sydz is seen leaning against a wall wearing a nice pair of shades. Pull-T Club is a rising hip-hop group in Laos who has just released their album in the market.

Phim Says "Just Go Back!"

Okay, just kidding it's just the title to one of her songs. Phim's latest song is titled "Gub Pai Sa", or translated into English it becomes something similar to "Just go back!". Phim is one of Valentine Music's latest addition to their family. She made her debut from this company with her song, "Gor Phor Huk Jao", which has landed on many music charts.

This new song deals with a young girl who is heart broken that her boyfriend found a new lover. She tells him to never come back to her ever again and just to let everything they had come to an end. This is an emotional song and has become my favorite song sung by her so far. 

If I'm not mistaken, Phim sang a duet a few years back called "Fah Pen Pa Yarn". It was a remake of a popular Vietnamese song which caused an uproar from some internet users claiming that Laos has copied their song.  The song was actually remade in many languages. 

With all that aside, I believe Phim has improved herself in the years. She presented to us three songs that she wrote herself in the new compilation CD that Valentines Music released this year. Those three songs are "Gor Phor Huk Jao", "Gub Pai Sa" and "Gwa Ja Huk Sa Pae Jai". I believe she has very good potential in the future.

Music Boom Interviews "May"

May of KPY Entertainment was recently interviewed on Music Boom about her new single “I LUV U.” Could this song have been personal? “Maybe,” she says with a smile.

May talks about how “I LUV U” is different from her previous single, “Thao Ni Kor Phor Jai.” The first single was about loving someone from one side without their knowledge and being happy with it. While “I LUV U,” is about being in love and being able to express it to someone that you truly care about. The song is upbeat and even includes some dance moves that she gave a little preview of while singing live as well. The video for “I LUV U” has already been filmed and finished. It will be released soon in the near future.

May also thanks her fans for always supporting her from the very beginning of her career. She states that “I LUV U” is dedicated to her fans.

“Thao Ni Kor Phor Jai” was a chart topping hit that remained at number one for quite awhile. I have a feeling “I LUV U” will do the same once the video is released.

Anita Does a Concert in Thailand

Over the weekend, Annita of KPY Entertainment was a part of a fashion show that took place in Udonthani, Thailand at the UD Town or UD Center. Her younger sister, Peggy, accompanied her on the show. Peggy is now also working with the KPY team.


Annita and Peggy walked the catwalk with many famous Thai stars such as Mario Maurer, ‘Kao’ Jirayu La-ongmanee, and Opal (who hosted the show). Everyone was dressed casually and a few of them wore "I love mom" shirts in honor of Mother's Day. They all still looked flawless. Annita was there to promote her debut single, “Orn Ae”, for her Thai fans. Those who attended the show also got to have a "meet and greet" session with the Thai celebrities.

Tik (Princess) Returns

The last we heard about Tik Keopasert was when she released her single, "Leo Jao Ja Sia Jai", in 2009. Now she is back with a new track called, "Ya Bok Khao Wa Hao Bor Keuay Huk Gun". The song title translates out to, "Do not tell her that we never loved each other". It is a continuation of her first single which dealt with a heart broken girl who has been dumped by her boyfriend. 

In an interview Tik is seen with two people at a photo shoot studio. One of them includes a member of the boy band Idolz, Tong. He was the pha-aek in the first music video. This time it seems that someone is getting married as they are all dressed in formal clothing. "I am very excited because I get to wear this tuxedo", says Tong.  

Judging from the short clips I have heard of her new song, it doesn't seem like her new song will be better than her first song. Leo Jao Ja Sia Jai was probably one of the best songs released in 2009 and her new song doesn't live up to that but it is not a bad song at all.

Annita Releases Second Single!!

It's been awhile since she released her first single but now Annita’s second single “Remember” has finally made its debut. She decided to release this single on her 20th birthday as a gift to her friends and fans. This new song continues the story of her first single, “On Air.” Many of you may remember that there was a preview of “Remember” at the end of the music video for the first single and have been anxiously waiting for the release of her new song. Hopefully, we can finally see who the real "pha aek" is!

"Remember" is a song about someone who is trying to cope with the end of a relationship, but can’t because of the memories that still haunt them. Every memory had a meaning that’s hard for them to forget and it hurts because they are still in love with that person.

The song has an R&B Jazzy feel to it and is a style that’s different from her previous single which was more upbeat and was written by Tar of A'PactS. Personally, I like her vocals a lot better in this song because it shows us a different side to her and more of what she can do with her voice. “Remember” will surely be topping the music charts just like her first single.
